Won’t be back.

Jamey is literally one of my favorite artists and his concert was a bucket list, or so I thought, for me. He got upset at the crowd for talking and walked out halfway through his performance. No way to treat those of us who weren’t talking, and had paid significant money to see him. I’ve since found out he has a bad reputation for doing that. I hope someday it matters enough to him to reconsider how he treats the fans who love his music and appreciate his talent, which happened to be most in attendance last Friday in BR. For me, it’s probably too little too late.

Poor performance

I’ve seen Jamey Johnson on at least two prior occasions with this being my third. First time I ever say Jamey was at the Texas Club in Baton Rouge, LA and it was one of the best concerts I’d ever attended. He got up there and SANG and sang his songs for several hours. The second and third times I’ve seen him he has whined and cried and left the stage early. We attended the 9/16/22 concert at Laburge in Baton Rouge. He started promptly at 8. He played a song or two of his then sang sever songs of other singers. Now mind you, had he been scheduled to play for over 2 hours this would be acceptable, but I anticipated him to play an hour to hour and half at most. By 9 he had sang sever songs that weren’t his and was complaining about the crowd “talking” he said. Shortly after 9 he threw a temper tantrum like he did at his second appearance at the Texas Club in BR, and he left the stage ending the concert early around 915. Prior to leaving the stage he cursed and invited anybody to come on stage and challenge his decision to leave. I find Jamey has forgotten where he came from and forgotten what old school country music is about. I personally will not attend anymore of his concerts whether free or paid. I am disappointed in Jamey. Furthermore I would urge Laburge to not place so many chairs/rows of chairs in their event center. It was quite crowded and tight fits all around.
